Jhpiego, a global leader in improving health care for women and families, seeks a Technical Coordinator (TC), based in Lahore, to provide technical support to  BMGF funded family planning program in province of Punjab, to be carried out in close collaboration with the Department of Health (DoH), Population Welfare Department (PWD) and with other relevant partners, with the unified purpose of contributing to the FP2020 targets by enhancing women’s access to quality FP services. The Technical Coordinator is responsible for overall technical guidance and support to the team members.  Under the supervision of Senior Program Manager, TC will be responsible for development and review of the technical materials through effective coordination with relevant departments and teams and perform following activities:

Responsibilities Facilitate program implementation plans, aligned with program proposal, in close collaboration with Sr. Program Manager. Work with Sr. Program Manager to develop technical material for training. Contribute to development of BCC strategy through collaborative working with communication expert. Harness human, material and financial resources appropriate for the program.Work with Sr. Program Manager to develop and track program budgets and to implement activities within approved budgets.Ensure continuous monitoring of program activities, as well as timely and accurate evaluation and reporting of progress toward the achievement of program goals and objectivesActively participate in Technical Working Group Meetings and represent Jhpiego in professional fora by participating and presenting in pertinent meetings. Provide guidance to field teams in execution of program activities and maintain day to day coordination with provincial government for technical aspects of programFacilitate internal and external consultants/teams in technical data collection, monitoring and review of the program activities at provincial and district levelContribute to annual work planning processContribute to timely submission of program reports to donors and HQ through collaborative working with communication specialist.Provide timely program updates to Sr. Program Manager, and relevant departments. Participate in meetings with concerned departments and partners for negotiating and briefing stakeholders, including technical working group and government officialsContribute to Development of program risk mitigation plans along with teams for smooth implementation of program Provide technical support in the design, analysis, and synthesis of interventionsEnsure technical excellence and implement the quality-of-care approach in project activities.  Troubleshoot to prevent and resolve potential problems and review outputs for quality control.Formulate productive working relationships with counterparts from the DoH, IRMNCH&NP, PWD and other organizations working in family planning to disseminate, discuss, and promote consistent evidence-based approaches on a national level. Contribute in writing technical briefs/reports relevant to program.Develop Infection prevention protocols for safe disposal of waste and syringes and patient safety protocols. Required Qualifications Master’s degree in public health or relevant field with 6-7 years’ experience in program development and implementation of family planning programs, preferably in PakistanProven leadership skills and expertise in the management of health programs and program staffKnowledge of competency-based training, performance and quality improvement approachesAbility to develop strategic and programmatic plans in cooperation with concerned departments/other stakeholders/donorsComprehensive understanding of evidence-based family planning interventions Ability to develop working relationships with counterparts of varying levels of seniority and backgrounds to implement program activitiesStrong decision-making skills, team player accustomed to building team capacity, delegating work to teamsExcellent verbal, written and presentation skillsAbility to travel within country
