NTT DATA is currently looking for a Technical Demand Manager (f/m/d) Hardware Solution Build for our growing team in Germany.

 

Responsibilities and duties

Serve as the main point of contact for the customer in the Hardware Solution Build area, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner. Work with various hardware vendors on server hardware topics including server procurement. Build the solution on reported issues for various hardware in coordination with vendor etc. Extensively work on the Hardware solutioning, the work will include:

     - Set and test firmware and driver baseline.
     - Create packaging for Firmware & BIOS
     - Create and test Firmware & BIOS and driver
     - 3rd level, Firmware & BIOS Deal with problems and follow up.
     - Work on Hardware manufacturer specific tools (monitoring, reporting, ...)
     - Documentation of new server hardware or variants.
     - Creation of new server models in various tools (currently e.g., PRIMA, IT SSP).
     - Evaluation with existing supplier of new Hardware, components (e.g., other FC cards), lifecycle.
     - Evaluation of new Hardware manufacturer against current Hardware manufacturer.
     - Meetings
     - IT LAB administration. 

Regularly follow up with the customer to gather feedback and identify opportunities for improvement. Build and maintain a strong relationship with the customer, fostering trust and satisfaction. Actively listen to and understand customer needs, anticipating potential challenges and proactively working to address them.


Role requirements
Must have:

Proven experience in a technical customer service role with a strong track record of achieving high customer satisfaction Strong in technical demand and inventory management Basic Linux/Unix System Administration knowledge Experience in working on Hardware topics including vendor support Knowledge of Server hardware Basic Windows knowledge Data Center knowledge Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to empathize and connect directly with the customer Ability to identify customer needs and provide proactive solutions. Strong problem solving skills, with an emphasis on quick and effective resolution.

 

Desirable:

Reporting: includes Hardware lifecycle, inventory etc. Various Vendors Server knowledge

 

Work location:
This position is mainly remote and requires you to travel to the customer's IT Lab in Munich regularly once a week for half a day.
