Location: Framingham, MassachusettsJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $32 - 45 per hourWe're looking for a Technical Designer to develop and maintain product standards, ensuring all items meet quality and value expectations. This role involves creating production-ready files with accurate construction and measurements, while fostering strong relationships with agents, vendors, and internal teams. Join us and contribute to high-quality product development!Responsibilities: Based on a design concept, develops and communicates fit and/or construction specification requirements to vendors via a technical report with clear and accurate descriptions of finishes, detailed sketches, specific measurements and graded specifications. Works with agents, factories in order to ensure that all product specifications meet the company's construction standards. Reviews all fit/production samples received from the vendors for compliance with construction standards, fit and sizing. Recommends any changes to the products, ensuring that all shipments of merchandise will meet specifications. Approves specifications for bulk production. Meets with Product Development Team members on a consistent and timely basis in order to ensure that problems or concerns are promptly resolved. Resolves issues as they arise in a timely manner. Approves or rejects production samples. Ability to prioritize workload. Makes specification and construction changes on new items. Acts with Integrity. Recommends methods to improve the garment, construction and quality. Qualifications: Degree in Production Manufacturing, Graphic Design or equivalent work experience. 3+ years experience. Strong technical background and experience in technical production design. PC skills including Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and PLM. Knowledge of product testing standards and protocols. Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow through skills. Works well as a team leader with the ability to handle multiple projects. Skills: Effective communication skills. Good math skills. Highly skilled in evaluation of garment fit. Strong interpersonal skills.
