The Role:

As the Technical Development Manager, you will be responsible for improving the technical knowledge and output of our teams.  Working with operational managers you will improve technical knowledge across all skill levels.  In addition to preparing and delivering technical training you will:

Take responsibility for internal and external audits.

Conduct client “pre audits”

Collate and respond to quality reviews

Prepare cases for internal review

Assess client audit findings, disputed proceedings, litigation to provide insight and guidance

Assess and provide technical guidance to defend (as appropriate) company position

Along with your strong technical knowledge a focussed attention to detail is important.  Reports for management information will be second nature to you as will highlighting trends/hot spots and providing overviews of portfolios to clients.

You will have:

Experience of managing claims driven teams within the Insurance or Loss Adjusting arena and managing technical and quality audits. You`ll be a customer service champion and a true leader of people, as well as:

Creating and delivering training with the ability to engage and motivate

Claims quality and technical audits

Management Information reporting

Good level of education – at least to GCSE level or equivalent

Good negotiation skills

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with Customers, Clients and Colleagues

The ability to prioritise your workload effectively

The ability to work on your own initiative and take ownership of your own caseload of claims at the same time as working together as a team

The ability to develop and maintain a close working relationship with our customers, to promote customer satisfaction during all stages of the claim

Ability to demonstrate understanding and empathy throughout

Excellent IT skills

Existing or intention to become Cert / Dip CII qualified
