The Technical Digital/BA plays a critical role w/in Data & Digital Services: Non-SAP team and main responsibilities are: Solutioning, Implementation, Releases, and Production Support.
This role analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processes or to improve existing systems. Provides some level of technical knowledge, system design techniques, methodologies, tools, and standards utilized in the IT and business environment. Work closely with the development, design, and systems integration teams for client engagement from definition phase through implementation. Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients. Reviews work of development team and easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions. Extend support to make sure our applications are stable, meets issues/requests SLAs as well as providing appropriate and timely solutions.
Key Position Responsibilities:
Technical and/or functional SME of assigned applications.Applies full system development life cycle methodology, including design, build, testing, and support to meet the business requirements.Work closely w/ business partners to gather and document business requirements for any project or implementations needs.Takes the lead in developing solutions to solve customer issues.Work closely w/ technical teams (development teams and/or other ETO technical teams) to discuss the business requirements and to be able to design a solution.Keeps project manager well informed of status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager.Creates and executes development plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.Ensures technical teams are contributing to our code library.Owns the development lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout the project.Communicates and enforces coding standards.Performs code reviews and makes improvement suggestions as needed.Manages technical resources within budget and project schedule.Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients.Writes clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication tools (memos, presentations, reports, etc.).Delivers complex messages/subjects matter in a style that is simple and easy to understand and appropriate for the audience.Communicate and collaborate with IT staff to ensure delivery of project.Strong results orientation and proficiency in problem solving and organizational agility.Comply with company’s Global IT Policies & ProceduresPerform other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, equivalent work experience acceptable8+ years of related technical and business analyst work experienceCandidates with a strong analytical skill and an understanding of customer integrations, web-based tools, and ERP are preferred.Demonstrated experience in the implementation of complex IT systems is required.Experience in the practical application of software development methodologies is required. Working knowledge of LEAN/AGILE software development methodologies is strongly preferred.Technical Experience/Hands-on Experience/Working Knowledge (min 1 year):Designing portal solutions based on Oracle WebCenter (v11 or higher)Using Oracle ADF frameworks or other similar web development frameworks, i.e. Struts, Spring.Designing database solutions, i.e. Oracle (v11g or higher), from conceptual to physicalImplementing SOA solutions using web services (SOAP, REST)Implementing enterprise applications using J2EE, .NETFollowing technologies, a plus: Fortshift, OMSAP, SQLServer; Oracle; Oracle Web Center, VB.net; C; C#; HTML, JavaScript, InformaticaAbility to lead design reviews with multi-functional teams.Knowledge of latest technologies and industry trends.Knowledge of code versioning tools and databases.Highly motivated and willing to learn new technologies.Excellent communications skills (technical as well as non-technical)Ability to work in a highly regulated environment. Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Computers Systems Validation (CSV) is required. Applied experience with GMP and CSV, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry is a strong plus.Strong analytical skills. Ability to deal with ambiguity and the corresponding capacity to make decisions or recommendations based on potentially incomplete information.Ability to quickly understand and adjust to changing business needs and drive IT’s impact on its success.Strong negotiating and influencing skills. Demonstrated skill in vendor management.Strong understanding of IT strategy and the ability to relate it to business objectives.Experience of project management skills and understanding of project management lifecycle. Track record of on-time, on-budget project delivery.Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment, inclusive of conflict resolution. Ability to manage staff that are resident in remote locations.Ability to multitask and work under pressure.Experience in enhancing organizational talent through people development.The ability to drive resolution of issues by bringing teams together – both internally and externally.Superior written and verbal communication and team-building skills.Strong relationship building skills.Ability to travel as required (15%).
