About the role
Role & Responsibilities
Supporting engineering design team for creations of new articles in SAP system for all types of bought out parts for engineering commercial parts used in Machine design Review technical specs of engineering commercial parts from respective make and prepare final specs to update in SAP system against new created SAP article numbers Maintain updated standards in Bekaert Engineering codification book for article creation (for raw materials, commercial parts – mechanical, electrical, pneumatic...) Prepare and build-up/archive technical specs data for all new created articles Standardization work: specs text optimization for various raw material & engineering components in SAP and database system. Participates in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate, for giving solutions to design, MDM team for any query related to new article creations for materials and components. Provide support to CFT teams, related to technical specs of materials & components Collaborating with a team of experienced professionals at global engineering entities. About YouEssential skills & competencies
Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in mechanical engineering or a related field with min. 2 years of experience. Deep understanding of machine parts, technical specifications, and spare parts management for automation machines. Proficient in data handling, expert in MS Excel, and experienced in SAP system. Ability to read CAD/engineering drawings, interpret machine functions, and familiarity with design tools like AutoCAD or Creo (added advantage). Basic knowledge of machine/equipment installation, usage, and repair is a plus Critical thinker with strong analytical and technical abilities.
