Responsibilities

As a Technical Editor, your day is a dynamic blend of precision, collaboration and problem-solving. You transform complex documents into clear reports ensuring accuracy, quality and consistency. By managing feedback, organizing files, and working closely with teams, you help drive success, knowing your attention to detail makes a lasting impact.

 

Precision in Editing: Edit technical and complex documents for proper grammar, consistent style, and accurate content. Incorporate review comments; cross-check references, acronyms, figures, and tables; build report elements such as table of contents, acronym lists and reference listsCollaboration & Coordination: Work with all levels of management, project leads, and resource areas to set schedules and expectations. Interact with client representatives to ensure access to file share folders and technical documentsQuality & Standards Management: Ensure standards and quality requirements are met. Manage comment resolution for large technical reports, ensuring thoroughness and quality responsesFile & Configuration Control: Establish or adhere to existing file management systems for configuration control Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical Communications, or a scientific discipline with 3 to 5 years of related experienceEnvironmental or Nuclear experience preferredRequires in-depth knowledge of publishing standards and demonstrated expertise working with technical documents and style manuals (e.g., Chicago Manual of Style)Requires excellent oral and written communications skills, strong interpersonal skills, and robust planning and organizational skillsRequires proficiency with MS Office SuiteRequires proficiency with Adobe SuiteRequires formatting proficiency capability with MS Word stylesRequires the ability to work independently and to prioritize workloadVery organized and adept at managing multiple project schedulesExperience working with diverse teams of technical staff and project managementAdobe FrameMaker experience is preferred Pay Range USD $60,000.00 - USD $100,000.00 /Yr.
