Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

Responsible for proofreading, editing, and footing complex financial statements and reports. The Technical Editor checks for accurate use of generally accepted accounting rules (GAAP), grammar, and language, focusing on content and formatting Correct grammatical, typographical, or numerical errors on a draft of the financial statements and provides the processor with the changes Proofreads financial documents for formatting, consistency, grammar, syntax, spelling, and adherence to Plante Moran standards Produce quality work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and client expectations for quality and accuracy Consults with partners, managers, and staff to resolve footing and wording problems within documents Regularly prioritize, multi-task, and work well under time pressure Effectively communicate with others in both written and verbal communication

The qualifications.

Microsoft Office experience required Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field is required At least 2 years of proofreading experience is required Experience with AP Style is required

This is a non-exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.
