The Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) Modeling and Simulation Software (MSS) at Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for you to join our SWDC Technical Editing and Material Planning team out of Schriever Space Force Base, CO. This is an on-site position. No remote option available.
What You'll Get to Do:
Northrop Grumman Space sector is seeking a Level 2/Level 3 Technical Editor and Material Planner located in Colorado Springs, CO. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's SWDC MSS team.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
Technical Editor
Maintains a Master Document List (MDL) of all project deliverables, implements and maintains program data libraries, and interfaces with customers in a professional and supportive mannerWrites, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiencesConducts quality review of materials, including reviewing documents for contract information, appropriate formatting, cover pages, release authorization, revision/change record, etc.Ensures Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and Data Accession List (DAL) deliverables adhere to Northrop Grumman’s ‘One Voice’ approach for documentationMaterial Planner
Submits requests for exploratory vendor quotes as requiredVerifies hardware and software configuration and quantities with Engineering as part of procurement processTracks task order software and hardware maintenance renewals, coordinating timely purchase request placement with NG Global Supply Chain personnelWorks closely with IT Services Lead to identify material price escalation, procurement risk, and line-item substitution requirementsBasic Qualifications:
Level 2 Experience: 2 Years with a Bachelor’s degree; 0 Years with a Master’s degree. 6 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Level 3 Experience: 5 Years with a Bachelor’s degree; 3 Years with a Master’s degree; 1 Year with a PhD. 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Understanding of industry best practices for Technical Editing and Material PlanningPossess an active Secret clearance or higherPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in support of Department of Defense (DoD) programsUnderstanding of CM/DM methodologies and best practicesExperience in working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop documentation in support of program goals and requirementsExperience developing and reviewing process documentation, such as plans, processes, and proceduresExperience with material managementExperience working with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)What We Can Offer You:

Salary Range: $59,600.00 - $89,400.00Salary Range 2: $73,300.00 - $109,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
