What You'll Do:
We are looking for an exceptionally talented Technical Engineer - Electrical and Instrumentation to join us as a Subject Matter Expert for our Engineering Organization. You will directly impact our innovation of Electrical and Instrumentation Systems by driving best in class solutions to meet rigorous internal standards and compliance requirements.
What We're Looking For:
Excellent technical acumen with Electrical and Instrumentation Systems and Technologies and their application in industrial settings. Technical leadership within electrical and instrumentation project teams for design, construction, and commissioning perspectives. Demonstrate a safety conscious mindset. Expert in applicable international standards and codes. Extensive expertise with technical specifications, diagrams, and documentation. Strong in troubleshooting technical problems and providing solutions. Collaborate and communicate with our cross functional project teams while acting as consultant and technical leader with project teams, DCS technicians, vendors and contractors to ensure successful project delivery. Be a subject matter expert for Electrical and Instrumentation for internal and external forums. Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and convert findings to actionable items Coach and Train others. Present complicated technical subjects and materials to a diverse audience. Strong team player in a matrix organization involving complex project environment. Demonstrate intellectual agility and flexibility.
Skills That Make a Difference:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, Technology or Computer Science or related field. 5 or more years of experience working as an Electrical or Instrumentation Engineer or similar role in engineering design in industrial contexts with a preference for experience in Chemical Processing facilities. Demonstrated hands-on experience in an industrial setting in the Chemical and Petro Chemical Industries. Experience collaborating with cross functional project teams on multiple projects while owning electrical and instrumentation from design through commissioning. Experience with formal project management frameworks including Stage Gates. Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD is required. Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, DCS and HMI is preferred. Professional Engineer license for Texas is preferred.
