Technical Expert - ADAS Embedded Software

In this position... 

Provide technical leadership and make technological decisions in software architecture, development, software processes, and practices in embedded software focusing on embedded middleware, diagnostics, and software updates (Software download and OTA)  Lead Ford software technical reviews and guided implementation of Ford Functional/non-functional software requirements with suppliers, Ford embedded software engineers, and Ford product engineers from the ADAS departments. Lead next-generation embedded ECU on Diagnostics and Failure management software.  Lead the Middleware services and API software development supporting Classic Autosar, Adaptive Autosar, and CDDs (Complex Device Drivers).  Lead System, ECU, and Sensor Mode/state management development. Enhance the capability of suppliers to deliver embedded software meeting Ford's quality stands. Drive issue resolution across all teams, ensuring quality software performance. Continuously improve software Quality Assurance process by enhancing requirements and process metrics based on lessons learned. Develop and execute training material for root cause activities. 

You'll have…

BS in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred) 10+ years of experience in the software development of embedded systems (Requirements, Architecture, Detail Design, Implementation, Verification, and Validation) 10+ years of experience in programming languages C and C ++ 5+ years of experience with software testing methods 3+ years of experience with standards and assessment models in the field of software development (Automotive SPICE (ISO 15504 based) or CMMI®) Experience in Automotive Safety Standards (ISO26262) and MISRA standards for C and C++ Experience in Classic Autosar and Adaptive Autosar. Proactive / results-driven individual with high levels of initiative and a focus on results High level of oral and written communication skills Systems-minded with a strong focus on customer impact  Strong understanding of major automotive systems and subsystems Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and assignments independently with a high accountability for results. Ability to communicate complex issues to leaders for alignment and efficient escalation.

Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science. Mentorship experience level in embedded software development Good knowledge of ADAS systems and subsystems Expert in Automotive Safety Standards (ISO26262) and MISRA standards for C and C++ Experience in Software Model-Based Design and Auto-code generation
