Technical Expert - Data Resilience & Data Protection

Our Technical Experts are a team of technology solutioners that each have a focus on promoting key parts of the Vantara portfolio. They work with existing and new clients across industries, both directly and through our partner teams. They collaborate as part of a global group to build deep, lasting customer relationships and to passionately articulate the Hitachi Vantara value proposition.

What you’ll be doing

Acting as a Data Availability/ Data Protection Solutions SME (Subject Matter Expert), delivering value into sales, pre-sales and partner teams to generate demand and act as an evangelist for Data Protection and Data Availability solutions. Working closely with our EMEA sales teams, presales, partner managers and our alliance team to drive customer engagement and revenue. Demonstrating deep market knowledge and specialist technical capabilities in the Data Protection and Data Availability solution portfolio – interfacing with customers, partners and product management teams. Attending and actively participating in sales and presales meetings, and demand generation activities including seminars, trade shows and key partner events to promote the Hitachi Vantara solution set. Planning and delivering Hitachi Vantara sales, presales and partner enablement sessions in collaboration with local teams with the goal of developing actionable, qualified pipeline. Making your own connections at EMEA level into peers in our alliance partners to further enhance the relationship and expertise to offer best in class, competitive solutions.

What you bring to the team

You are a proven, customer facing, commercially savvy solutions professional. Experience in designing / configuring Data Protection and Data Availability solutions. A background with deployment of Data Protection solutions and/or administration experience would be advantageous. A sound knowledge of industry wide Core Storage, Object Storage and Converged Data Centre solutions Deep domain expertise in Data Protection / Data Availability, a flair for communicating and positioning complex technical solutions and applying the use of technology to deliver customer driven outcomes that frame the value of the solution. A good understanding of the current regulation pertaining to Digital Operational Resilience and government-imposed regulation/legislation around Data Protection practises. Demonstrable knowledge of the Data Protection and Data Availability competitive landscape. Outstanding communication with a methodical, structured mindset & the ability to deal with ambiguity.
