Role description:
Arcadis is seeking an experienced Technical Expert to join our Environmental Restoration (ER) Growth team to support and grow our expanding PFAS and ER business nationally across a range of market sectors, including manufacturing, chemical, oil and gas, Federal, and automotive. The successful candidate will be engaged in client development, technical leadership in project delivery, and growth of new and existing client relationships. The position will require a candidate to work collaboratively with a diverse team and have the capacity to balance varying priorities. Arcadis offers a flexible working environment and follows a hybrid work structure. A successful candidate can expect to work remotely and from the office, as needed, based on demands of project and client teams. Periodic travel will be required (varying from 15-35%).[FL1]
As a consultant and leader with Arcadis, your success will be defined by collaboration with staff and your contributions to a wide array of projects. You will be a key member to drive innovation and build strong technical communities within the ER solution with a focus on the PFAS foam transition program. You will also be expected to work with our national leadership to help develop and implement effective strategies for growth on a local and national basis, as needed. Our people and our clients are key to our success, and we will need you to provide leadership for staff and lead and/or participate in developing client accounts. Beyond the ER Solution you will work with the larger Resilience Global Business Area (GBA) team including the Water business area, our global ER network, and with the Places GBA.
Role accountabilities:
As a Technical Expert, you will lead teams of engineers, technicians, systems specialists, PFAS experts, and other technical disciplines to successfully execute restoration programs. Your focus on PFAS foam transition (FT) work demands an understanding of the range of transition approaches, mechanical systems, waste management needs, and client variable requirements; as well as the logistics of coordinating, training, and delivering the necessary advisory and field services to our clients. You will lead project teams in defining, planning, outfitting, and implementing FT projects. Additionally, you will provide senior level quality assurance/quality control for client deliverables, including agency consultations and permit applications. Beyond the FT work you will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of a broad range of restoration technologies for mitigation of PFAS, CVOC, VOCs, other organics, and metals in soil, water, and air.
In this role, you will also be involved in supporting and/or managing the growth of new and existing client relationships in conjunction with business development leaders and account leaders. This will include leveraging existing client relationships, supporting client account teams, and leading pursuits and proposal opportunities, including scope and cost development.
Qualifications & Experience:
Arcadis is looking for an individual that can deliver strong technical experience and proven client engagement capabilities related to environmental restoration. The required qualifications for the role include:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or related engineering discipline and a minimum 20 years of experience designing, managing, and implementing environmental restoration projects on a national basis. A professional engineering license is required and licensure in multiple states is desired. Demonstrated experience designing, coordinating and implementing PFAS FT projects and programs for a range of market sectors including chemical, Federal, manufacturing, and O&G. Experience building a team and a commercial and technical approach are considered an important strength. Experience leading teams and working in collaboration with a range of engineering and scientific disciplines to develop efficient technical approaches to deliver environmental solutions and high-quality deliverable for environmental restoration projects While not primary, proven project management skills including: scheduling, estimating and managing costs, and delivery of environmental restoration projects Regulatory experience working with federal and various state agencies in the preparation of environmental documents, workplans, and reports. It is also essential that you have experience in regulatory programs in multiple states as well as national programs such as CERCLA and RCRA. Experience supporting and/or managing client development including identifying opportunities, developing and maintaining client relationships, and leading proposal development including the preparation of scope of work and project budgets.Why Arcadis?

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
