Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking an experienced Technical Facilities Manager to drive asset maintenance strategy and compliance across a national portfolio of high-security, aviation-aligned facilities. Reporting to the Account Manager, this role is pivotal in supporting building performance and critical infrastructure upgrades while ensuring strong client and stakeholder engagement.
This is a full-time, permanent position which is airport based. Frequent interstate travel across various locations is required.
The ideal candidate will be
A solutions-oriented leader with technical FM experience that is able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be confident in navigating high-compliance environments and managing national support functions efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic asset maintenance and compliance programs
- Provide national technical support to Facilities Managers
- Analyse asset data and recommend lifecycle improvements
- Lead subcontractor engagement and vendor compliance
- Drive risk mitigation, safety, and statutory compliance
Education, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Trade qualification (Engineer/Mechanical/Electrical) with post-trade qualifications
- Strong background in building services, technical FM and compliance
- Facilities Management qualifications
- Experience managing subcontractors and vendor relationships
- Proficient in CMMS and Microsoft Office applications
- Security clearances will be sought and are a requirement of the role
Desirable:
- Aviation sector experience highly regarded
Workplace Flexibility
This role is on-site and airport based, with frequent national travel. Hybrid options are limited due to the critical nature of the facilities.
