As the Technical Implementation Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of HF and VHF Air-to-Ground voice radio programs supporting the commercial aviation industry. You will oversee the Implementation team who will be dedicated to supporting the products, projects, and customers within the Aviation Voice Services portfolio. 

 

What You Will Do 

Lead a team of engineers and technical staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to manage Air/Ground radio infrastructure: Oversee air-to-ground radio communication system setup, maintenance, and optimization. 

Manage and lead the Implementation team, assign tasking base on the priorities set by the BU. 

Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of network and equipment upgrades and the relocation of communication stations to enhance system capabilities, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards, timelines, and budget constraints 

Serve as a subject matter expert in relevant technologies, providing insights and direction for technical decision-making and problem-solving. 

Assist business unit leadership with strategic planning. 

Support proposal efforts. 

Advises or obtains information on the viability of new technologies/services. 

Identify areas for process improvements within the technical team and implement strategies to streamline operations and improve productivity. 

Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, helping to drive innovation and strategic initiatives that improve the organization’s technical capabilities. 

Manage special projects as assigned, ensuring timely and successful completion within budget. 

Ability to travel up to 35% of the time; travel will include domestic and some international when needed.

 

Qualifications You Must Have  

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience 

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position 

 

Qualifications We Prefer 

Experience in aviation radio communications. 

Prior experience with technical implementation and project execution  

Experience managing small teams.

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
