**Kadiak, LLC,** a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Technical Information Specialist to support **Kadiak** and our government customer in the Metro DC area. **This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.** _This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity._

Kadiak LLC, a subsidiary of Koniag Government Services, is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Information Specialist to support our records management operations. This role requires a high school diploma, with preference given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a science or information management-related field. The ideal candidate should have at least three years of experience in an office environment with a records management background, as well as expertise in reading and classifying scientific regulatory documents.
**Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:**
**The Technical Information Specialist will be responsible for:**
+ Read and classify scientific regulatory documents, ensuring accurate categorization and adherence to established protocols and procedures.
+ Utilize document tracking databases, scanning software, and micrographics systems to manage and process records and documents effectively.
+ Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring the integrity and completeness of information.
+ Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, responding to inquiries and requests related to records management and document processing.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, records management specialists, and other personnel, to ensure efficient and coordinated operations.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records related to document processing and classification activities.
+ Stay up to date with the latest technologies, tools, and best practices in records management and document processing, and recommend improvements or enhancements when appropriate.
+ Assist with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to document management and processing.
+ Participate in training and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in relevant areas.
+ Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations related to records management, data privacy, and information security.

**Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**
+ Bachelor's degree with coursework in science or information management is desirable.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in an office environment with a records management background.
+ Experience in reading and classifying scientific regulatory documents.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information and instructions.
+ Strong customer service skills, with a commitment to providing exceptional support to stakeholders.
+ Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Experience in using document tracking databases, scanning software, and micrographics systems.
+ Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in information processing.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.

+ Familiarity with records management best practices and industry standards.
+ Knowledge of data privacy and security protocols related to document management and information handling.
+ Proficiency in using advanced document management software and applications.
+ Experience in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to document processing and records management.
+ Understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
+ Ability to adapt to changing technologies and processes related to document management and information processing.

**Working Environment & Conditions**
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
