What will you be doing?
Principals lead the sale and delivery of Management Consulting for large, complex organizations. The Principal drives material business cases that generate significant, transformational work. This requires building strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs, helping to shape their technology and business solutions, and bringing the best of WWT to address their most critical business issues. This role also requires continuous growth in functional and industry specialization in Big Data and Cloud.
Essential Functions:
Client-Facing: Majority of time spent leading complex infrastructure projects – including:
Leading WWT teams of managers, consultants, architects, and engineers to achieve client outcomes Leverages deep understanding of both infrastructure and delivery best practices to structure and deliver with excellence. Strong focus on delivery excellence, relationship development with clients, executive presentations, and providing strategic advisory to client team. Serves as the “face” of WWT to the client for the program (and potentially beyond). Owns the documentation and organizational responsibilities around complex projects, delivering strong analytical, quantitative/conceptual thinking skills, and effective interpersonal communication skills to ensure successful client projects and team performance.Internal responsibilities:
Manages and develops junior consulting team (e.g., staffed on project). Navigates internal teams to bring the right experts at the right times to the program. Demonstrate thought leadership to build WWT’s offerings and/or capabilities.Business Development
Understands the breadth of WWT value proposition and solution expertise so that we are bringing the best of WWT to the customer through introducing and selling cross business services that help expand WWT’s footprint. Creates follow-on and/or ancillary project opportunities with core clients due to developer excellence and relationship/trust with client stakeholders. Partner with the account team to act as “OneWWT”, developing opportunities and cross-selling at the client. Pursues business opportunities at large, complex customers; work with clients and internal WWT Teams to develop and negotiate statements of work, including project scope, deliverables, timelines and costs.
