If you are an experienced Technical Inside Sales, Emerson-Appleton Group Canada Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for you! This is a contract position covering a leave, and will start at a duration of 12 months. Based in our Elmira, ON location, reporting to the Technical Inside Sales Manager, you will optimize each customer contact by contributing and strengthening the relationship with our customers. You will provide support to sales representatives and customers by providing pre-sales, support, and customers a solution by working with them to select and recommend products that match application requirements and meet customer needs. You will generate a quote that will result in the customer purchasing from Emerson. To be successful in this role, you will work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Pricing and the Operations teams.

AS A TECHNICAL INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE, YOU WILL:
Provide basic technical solutions and general application assistance. Work directly with customers, Distributors, Outside Sales to provide presales application support and to generate formal quotations for customers. Make sales calls on existing major accounts and distributors to establish contact with new accounts. Develop proposals and quotations, follow-up on proposals and quotations. Make sure proposal pricing is accurate and technically correct. Lead the customer through the selection process to choose products that will meet their needs. Follow-up with customers to ensure that the quote was received, lead, and monitor approval drawing status, answer any questions, and identify when an order may be placed. Perform sales support to consistently meet overall area sales goals. Practice good phone skills in terms of the ability to open, handle and close a presales technical sales support call. Timely, accurate, and proactive with regard to each customer interaction. Continue to enhance knowledge of products, applications, and industries. Support and promote the company philosophy of 12 Safety Behaviours.WHO YOU ARE: You gain insight into customer needs, building and delivering solutions that meet customer expectations. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Degree or diploma in Engineering or Business 2+ years of experience in technical sales or customer service related to technical products Must be proficient with MS Office, in particular Excel Strong problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills to relate successfully to people both internally and externally (i.e. employees, management, suppliers, peers) Must have excellent organizational skills to prioritize and coordinate one’s own work Must have ability to cope with multiple demands as many requests are frequently demanded simultaneously Legal authorization to work in Canada – sponsorship will not be provided for this position.PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
