**Description** Leidos is seeking a summer intern with a Computer Science background to join our team in support of the SMIT contract, the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT), Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, the Leidos team will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.  The successful candidate will support Windows desktop, supporting software, and hardware systems. **Primary Responsibilities** + Contribute to the End User Services team’s projects through technical reviews of workstation solution documentation, compliance, and change management + Participate in the planning and tracking of upgrades, deployments, and security remediations + Support the development and maintenance of documentation, checklists, and procedures + Collaborate with leadership on KPIs, success metrics, and maturity assessments + Collaborate with external customers, management, subcontractors, vendors, and other engineering disciplines + Comply with ITSM processes and procedures + Comply with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) governance and use MBSE tools + Comply with Cybersecurity requirements within the DoDI 8500.01 and DON 5239 **Basic Qualifications** + Enrolled in a degree program as a Computer Science (or similar) major with graduation planned in late 2025-2027 + GPA 3.0 or better + Experience with Windows 10/11 and understanding of desktop administration and management + Experience with technical documentation, compliance reviews, and change management + Experience with core cybersecurity concepts + US citizenship required with the ability to obtain a security clearance + Ability to obtain Security+ (or other relevant) certification to meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with Jira, Agile planning, and project management + Experience with Windows Group Policy Objects (GPO), and desktop security remediation + Experience with PowerShell scripting + Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager **Original Posting:** March 3, 2025 For U.S. Positions: While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above. **Pay Range:** Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
