Our customer base consists of DARPA, ONR, AFRL, ARL, and other government and proprietary customers. TSC’s Intelligent Systems Laboratory Division in North Carolina is a state-of-the-art research and development research facility, dedicated to R&D in the areas of machine learning/artificial intelligence, autonomous systems (e.g. drones), computer vision, and computational neuroscience. **Position Summary and Responsibilities** Teledyne Scientific & Imaging is looking to hire a full-time intern to contribute to advanced research projects across the fields of mechanical and software engineering and autonomous systems. The position is for onsite work at our Durham, NC office and will provide opportunities to learn about cutting edge research on machine learning/artificial intelligence and autonomous systems. The responsibilities will include assisting with algorithm and hardware/software system development and testing and technical data analysis and/or modeling. **Qualifications & Competencies** The successful applicant should be: + At least in their junior year, working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering or the sciences + Completed at least two years of coursework in mathematics, engineering, computer science, or other related fields + Experience with digital signal processing and computer programming is a plus + Local applicant preferred **Citizenship Requirements** Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen. \#TS&I Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
