What we want
The Technical Laboratory Coordinator coordinates and oversees the daily operational activities of the EnMed Innovation Center (EIC) prototyping lab and ensures adherence to all Texas A&M lab standards and practices.

Location: This full-time position is located in Houston, TX, and may require flexibility to w ork beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends on rare occasions.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in any STEM field
+ Three years of related experience in laboratory operations
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master's degree or higher
+ Some professional experience in a higher education setting
+ Laboratory teaching assistance or educational laboratory experience
+ Experience with prototyping, “maker spaces”, and/or 3D printing
+ Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding
+ Ability to interact and communicate with students from different technical backgrounds
+ Strong organizational ability needed to maintain records across multiple disciplines
+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Ability to work with subject material outside of immediate expertise
+ Knowledge of standard teaching laboratory equipment
+ Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications
+ Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental standards and requirements
+ Knowledge of document management and/or workflow automation applications
Responsibilities
+ Operations: Coordinates and oversees the daily operational activities of a laboratory. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for laboratory workflows. Develop procedures for the safe use of laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory of laboratory supplies, equipment, and waste.
+ Administration: Maintain the laboratory calendar of events, and coordinate event scheduling in the lab. Oversee document management/workflow automation software related to laboratory processes. Assist in procurement of lab equipment and supplies.
+ Supervision: Ensure all students have appropriate safety training for various laboratory spaces and equipment. Supervise laboratory staff and students in the handling and preparation of laboratory materials.
