Technical Laboratory Support Officer

Department The position resides within the Validation, Maintenance and Calibration (VCM) department. The team is responsible for ensuring equipment is qualified throughout its lifecycle to the necessary requirements. The department works with teams that function on the local site, Benelux regional and global levels. Responsibilities The Technical Laboratory Support Officer is responsible for planning, scheduling and performing actions on GxP systems to ensure compliance to regulatory guidelines and client requirements throughout the lifecycle of the system. Systems may be comprised of multiple components including software, hardware, utilities and firmware. The Technical Laboratory Support Officer is responsible for ensuring systems uphold the principles of the raw data lifecycle as part of ensuring Data Integrity. Your main focus as Technical Laboratory Support Officer is to be:  + Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on laboratory equipment; + Performing calibration work on utilities and laboratory equipment; + Performing validation/qualification of laboratory equipment; + Performing periodic evaluations and assessments on data integrity. Being part of the VCM team, you are also partially responsible for: + Identifying, reporting and adequately handling malfunctions of utilities, laboratory equipment and facilities; + Adequately handling alarms reported via monitoring systems; + Training and advising colleagues in the use, maintenance, calibration and validation of utilities and laboratory equipment in accordance with the relevant procedures; + Participating in inspections and audits; + Management of new equipment (supplier selection, drafting URS), and providing documentation related to this equipment; + Initiating and (helping) solving non-conformances, out-of-specifications, changes and complaints, where applicable in collaboration with the QA team; + Creation of good system workflows in collaboration with operations departments. We are looking for the following qualifications for the role of Technical Laboratory Support Officer: + A completed MLO or HLO education relevant to the position; + At least 1 year of experience with technology and equipment, preferred within a laboratory environment; + Experience with GMP / GLP is a plus; + Good understanding of the English language and preferably reasonable understanding of Dutch; + Located in the Netherlands within reasonable distance of our site in Leiden, and in possession of a valid work permit.
