The SEI Wealth Platform has a challenging career opportunity for a Technical Lead. This position requires a foundation of software development knowledge, and the ability to work in an Agile team environment and expand existing development skills through technical project work. You should be adaptable, possess a wide range of technical skills, and demonstrate the ability to understand financial services business requirements. You should be able to deliver individual code as well as technically lead a team of developers; and have the ability to switch context quickly and efficiently with project managers, database engineers, technical operations and other platform personnel.
What you will do:
• Develop and design technical solutions based on reading and understanding business and functional requirements following the Agile process
• Produce high-quality code to meet all project deadlines and ensuring the functionality matches the requirements
• Analyze and resolve issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of the software delivery lifecycle; coordinating changes with project team leaders and cross-work team members
• Provide technical leadership to project team members and responding to inquiries regarding errors or questions about programs
• Interact with data architects, other tech leads, team members and project manager as required addressing technical and scheduling issues.
• Suggest and implement process improvements for estimating, development and testing processes.
• Responsible for insuring team designs and delivers code in alignment with published SEI & industry standards.
What we need from you:
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or another related field or equivalentA minimum of 7 years of prior work experience with an application development organization; must demonstrate experience delivering systems and projects from inception through implementationAlternatively, we will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field; plus 5 years of experience reflecting ability in the skill sets required.Work experience in developing Web Applications with Java, Java Script, HTML, JSPs. MVC frameworks.Spring MVC and Angular development experience is a plus.A minimum of 2 years of experience working on multi-tiered applications that are designed, developed and delivered as cloud- based solutions:Designing and developing Cloud Native applications,Creating microservices applications using technologies such as REST, JSON, Spring Boot. and JavaDeploying and configuring well performing Cloud Native applicationsExperience with:Relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL ServerUnstructured data and persistence model such as MongoDB, SnowflakeDevOps toolsets for versioning, containers, such as Git, Docker, Kubernetes, JenkinsORM tools (Hibernate, JPA)Event/data streaming platform, such as KafkaUI Web development framework experience.Additional knowledge and/or experience desired:
Development experience in the financial services industry including banking, wealth management, investment management, asset data and investment processingPossesses Azure or AWS certificationsTest Driven DevelopmentApplication migrations to the cloudCI/CD and DevOps concepts, tools like Ansible, Terraform and library management tools like ArtifactoryIdentity Technologies (OAuth, Azure AD, AWS IAM, OKTA, Ping)Angular or React
