We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Advisor to the Director of Service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing processes, fostering multi-functional collaboration, driving continuous improvement, and providing technical expertise to enhance our service operations. This role requires a strong background in engineering, process optimization, and data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities: Process Optimization: Streamline workflows to eliminate bottlenecks and reduce waste to perform Field Service work by improving efficiencies and reducing time spent at Job site for work performed. Performance will ne measured based on profitability improvement on FS scope. Cross-functional Collaboration: Encourage collaboration between different departments to ensure alignment and optimization of product development. Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to suggest and implement incremental changes. Training and Development: Provide ongoing training to ensure the team has the latest skills and knowledge to work efficiently. Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions. Efficiencies Improvement: Drive engineering product development changes to improve efficiencies in execution. Participate in design change reviews to provide feedback from FS. Technical Expertise and Guidance: Provide technical expertise and guidance to General Contractors (GC) and Electrical Contractors (EC) for setting up schedules and timelines for service execution, including complex Methods of Procedure (MOPs). Research and Evaluation: Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, processes, and tools to enhance development capabilities. Customer Requirements Analysis: Analyze customer requirements with Field Service Engineers (FSE) and develop technical solutions to meet customer needs. Documentation: Develop and document technical processes and procedures. Quality Assurance Collaboration: Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) to resolve warranty issues with technical solutions. Customer Support: Support the Quotations Team, representatives, and customers with technical project plans and timelines. Ensure the scope of projects is fully vetted and assembled for the quotation process. Project Management: Attend project handovers and lesson learned meetings with the PMO to support technical aspects of project plans. Break down job scopes and lead change request scopes for all projects to ensure technical requirements are met and quoted accurately. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Validated experience in process optimization, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making. Strong technical expertise in engineering and product development. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Ability to provide technical guidance and support to contractors and engineers. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
