As the Technical Lead, you’ll be pivotal in overseeing technical operations and ensuring that maintenance plans are executed flawlessly in line with production schedules. You’ll work directly with cutting-edge technology, lead a team, and drive continuous improvements that ensure high-performance standards across multiple processing sites.

 

About the role  

You will report directly to the Facility Manager and lead a team of technicians to conduct the maintenance activities associated with all Processing Equipment and ensure the production standards at all Processing Facilities are achieved.  

 

What You’ll Do:

Lead the technical support team to execute maintenance activities related to Mail Processing Equipment, ensuring high standards of service and reliability.Oversee safety practices and foster a strong safety culture across the team.Manage defect investigations and corrective actions, ensuring all plant maintenance transactions are accurately recorded in SAP.Work with internal and external teams to continuously improve system performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.Provide 24/7 helpdesk support for fault resolution and lead knowledge transfer initiatives with third-party vendors.

 

What are we looking for?  

Experience in the diagnosis, repair and monitoring of Mail processing equipment and systems Proven ability to work independently without supervision  Participate in performance monitoring, commissioning and continuous improvement activities  Experience working in a team-based environment, and liaise effectively with operations and other stakeholders to achieve high levels of machine performance  Demonstrate a high level of ability in utilizing SAP as an information tool Exposure to PLC and variable speed drives is also advantageousDemonstrate the ability to lead a team of technicians  Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing  


The minimum qualification requirements are:  

A current Australian Western Electrical License (Certificate III in Electro Technology, Systems Technician or Equivalent)  Mechanical Trade Certificate III or higher  


And we’d be very impressed if you have:  

A Certificate IV in Electro Technology (Systems Electrician) or equivalent (or progression towards completion) Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management) Mechanical Aptitude  Experience in IT, Data communications highly desirable A High-Risk Licence in Elevated Work Platforms
