Technical lead/ ETL Lead
Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be in our downtown Toronto office 2-3 times per week - subject to change at any time.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end (E2E) conversion of Informatica code to Databricks.
• Utilize the EDH tool for data handling and management during the migration process.
• Ensure smooth and high-quality code migration, aligning the conversion process with the organization’s technical standards and business needs.
• Train and optimize the AI tools used for code conversion to maximize their effectiveness for future projects.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure that the converted code meets all performance, scalability, and functional standards before it is handed over to the Application Development (AD) team.
• Own the quality assurance process, identifying and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the code migration.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to the team, ensuring best practices are followed throughout the migration.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all data-related issues are addressed, and that the solution complies with data governance policies.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in ETL processes, with expertise in Informatica, Databricks, and EDH tool.
• Proven experience leading complex migration projects from legacy ETL platforms to modern cloud-based systems.
• Strong expertise in data integration, data transformation, and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with AI tools used for code conversion and enhancement.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on ensuring code quality and meeting performance standards.
• Strong understanding of data governance and compliance requirements.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Project management skills to drive timelines and deliverables to completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Informatica, Databricks, or related cloud technologies.
• Experience in training AI tools for code conversion.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud platform.
