Technical Leader — Integration & customization
About This Role The Defense & Security integration engineering team is looking for a highly motivated and rallying leader for the position of the Technical Leader as an Integration Specialist. The team is responsible for the design, production and maintenance of the integration of all software simulation. With the support from the subject matter experts, the position holder will have the following tasks, but not limited to: + Technical supervision: + Leads the community of practice by defining, communicating and ensuring the achievement of the vision and associated goals. + Owns the roadmap for the maintenance, the evolution and the quality of the hardware and software assets of the community of practice. + Performs technical oversight of the design and integration of simulation systems belonging to the community of practice. + Ensures knowledge and data sharing as well as the application of best practices. + Project execution: + Supports and follows up on the technical execution of the products with the collaboration of the Software Development Leaders and Integration & Coordination Leaders. + Performs proactive monitoring of projects to enable achievement of project milestones. + Acts as the main point of contact with customers and vendors. + Technical support to team members: + Provides advice to Integration & Coordination leaders/Central Planning regarding the resource allocation. + Works in collaboration with Technical Authorities for new technology introduction and continuous improvement initiatives. + Acts as a Technical Coach for the engineering technical career path. + Bids & proposals: + Improvement and support of the estimation process. + Review related requirements and estimates for new projects. Requirements : + In accordance with the engineering technical career track, a band 7 or higher. + Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 5 years as an Integration Specialist. + Bachelor degree in software, computer, electrical, mechanical or physics engineering or other equivalent diploma. + Dynamic team player with a sense of initiative, results-oriented with good team spirit. + Has demonstrated leadership throughout his career and can adapt to change. + Knowledge of various debugging method is essential. + Effective time management and multitasking skills. Ability to manage risk, project scope, and resources. + Good planning and organizational skills. + Good knowledge of MS-Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. + Good oral and written communication skills. + Bilingualism (French and English) is required. + Availability for occasional business trips. #LI-ND1 .
