Your Impact

As a Technical Leader, Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, automating, configuring, and qualifying customer use cases for IOS-XR on ASR9K, NCS5500, NCS5000, and 8000 platforms. Your role includes generating test plans and dynamically prioritizing tasks to meet customer demands, while enhancing technical expertise across relevant areas. You will design and develop innovative test frameworks and tools, as well as web-based GUIs that utilize analytics and machine learning to effectively display and analyze execution results. You will drive test cases both manually and through automation, manage defects and fixes, and continuously seek improvements in test coverage, execution, and automation to optimize performance and configuration dimensioning.

Additionally, you will reproduce customer issues in internal test labs, generate test execution reports and technical whitepapers, and collaborate with teams across multiple continents. Your passion for qualifying and automating SP and web networking solutions will ensure smooth deployment for customers. Experience in qualifying, deploying, fixing, and maintaining SP/web networking technologies, especially XR platforms, is essential for this role.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of engineering experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM field with 6+ years of engineering experience.Experience with Networking Automation and Software Quality Assurance, protocol testing, and supporting Web/Service-provider customers.Experience with routing hardware, platform forwarding architecture, and networking technologies, such as, but not limited to, OpenFlow, Netconf, and REST API.Experience with Python and/or GoLang, and familiarity with network automation tools such as, but not limited to, pyATS, Ansible, Jenkins, or Robot framework.Preferred QualificationsCCIE certification in areas such as Routing & Switching, Service Provider, or Data Center.Extensive experience with platforms such as ASR9K, NCS5500, NCS5000, NCS540/NCS560, NCS6K, CRS, and 8000.Advanced knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems, including CentOS, Redhat, and Ubuntu, with expertise in Bash/Unix Shell Scripting.Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting advanced networking protocols such as ISIS/OSPF, BGP, L2/L3 VPN, EVPN, SegmentRouting, IPv6, MPLS-LDP/RSVP-TE, Multicast, SNMP, Telemetry, gNMI, gRPC, Netconf, and OpenConfig Yang Models.#WeAreCisco
