Your Role
You will be part of a growing team responsible for the Construction portfolios and helping them achieve premium growth and profitability within set guidelines. As a seasoned underwriter, you will provide technical support with underwriting referrals, collaborate and be an influence on underwriters in the team, as well as being the brand for Chubb in the market.

Your Responsibilities 

Support the development of the Tech Lines portfolio business plan Support the analysis of the portfolio's performance across all segments to identify growth opportunities and risk requiring remediation. Support reporting functions for the Tech Lines portfolio including monthly management reports to country, regional and COG management and financial forecasts. Underwrite the Construction and/or Power (Tech Lines) portfolio nationally Achieve planned underwriting results for new and existing business Maintain data and documentation within the required systems including:
a) Generation Next
b) CAT Management
c) Chubb Construction pricing models
d) Workview Policy Management
e) Sanctions approvals Develop productive and effective relationships with producers, Reinsurers and Reinsurance Brokers to promote Chubb coverages, products and services Provide professional underwriting practice and service to intermediaries Maintain relationships with brokers to obtain opportunities for targeted business and leverage of existing business

Your Skills & Experience

Minimum two years’ (underwriter) and seven years’ (senior underwriter) experience Underwriting Construction and/or Power/Energy BusinessSelf-motivated and driven to achieve goalsSuccessful completion of a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent business experienceBroad knowledge of Insurance industry (specifically product) as well as general understanding of other linesGood profile in the broker market with proven marketing success in developing key broker relationships and achievement of GWP growthDemonstrated adherence to underwriting standards, policies and processesDemonstrated effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to be capable of dealing with all levels of Chubb personnel as well as, in dealing with agents, brokers and clientsProven analytical skills necessary to judge the desirability of complex or unusual risks within assigned specialised lines
