**Position Summary** This position is a level 3 maintenance employee. Observes and examines complex, specialized equipment and parts to identify issues and determine appropriate repairs. Completes preventative maintenance of facility equipment. + Observe, dismantle and examine complex / specialized mechanical devicesand parts to identify and locate issues. + Examine parts to detect imperfections. Inspect used parts to determinechanges in dimensional requirements. Requires the use of rulers, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments. + Repair and/or remove defective parts. May require the use hoists, ladders,hand tools, and power tools. + Read and interpret blueprint layouts, written instructions and repair manualsto complete assigned tasks. + Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments. May require theuse of hand tools, levels, and straight edges. + Install special functional and structural parts in devices. + Lubricate and clean parts. + May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder and other metalworkingtools to make and repair parts. + Initiate purchase order for parts and machines. + Perform welding tasks as necessary. + Complete other tasks assigned by management. **Minimum Job Experience Required** + 1-2 years of maintenance related work experience + High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in related field a plus. + Possess current driver’s license. + Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations. + Ability to follow complex instructions and use precision instruments.
