Capability Life Cycle Manager (CLCM)
The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS). The CLCM performs asset, sustainment and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre’s (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services. The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability
The Opportunity:
The Technical Maintenance TML Officer will work collaboratively across the Asset Sustainment arm of the CLCM and report directly to the LHD Ship Lead.
The TML Officer will contribute towards assurance activities against the Annual Work Plan, and Five-Year Work Plan, and will develop positive working relationships with the ACSSPO and ACE stakeholders to gain an understanding of required processes and practices.
The TML Officer will identify and investigate opportunities to reduce through life support costs, and risks associated with procurement and sparing. Additionally, there will be the responsibility to drive initiatives to minimise unnecessary duplication of maintenance activities or conduct of unnecessary maintenance activities.
This role is based out of Garden Island, Sydney.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development, technical assurance of SA TMLs and burn down of activities in accordance with the AWP AMWL & TML, FMWP and the FYWP.Contribute to programmatic assurance reports over the AWP Stage Gate 1 to 6 burn down.Identifying risks and issues associated with TMLs.Review and monitoring of ACS CLCM TML demands against schedule.Analysis of continuous AWP TML risk as an assurance activity against schedule Stage Gate exit points and issues raised post EMPs via the RMC.Review and monitoring AMWL & TMLs burn down.Review and monitoring of stores demands and deliveries pre and post EMPs.Available to embark RAN ships for periods in support of CLCM activities.As the ideal candidate you will bring:
Essential:
As a minimum, recognised Vocational Education and Training qualification in Engineering.Project and contract management experience.5+ years relevant experience in Assurance and Defence maintenance role. Working knowledge in Naval systems, such as Configuration Management Tool-Unified (CMT-U) and Asset Management and Planning System (AMPS).Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems.Desirable:
Engineering diploma or maritime competences & trade skills. Prior experience as a Waterfront Engineer or Ship Superintendent.Proven skills and experience in leading contracted planned maintenance and breakdown activities. Working knowledge in Naval systems, such as MILIS, NAVALLOW.All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
