Our Grenada location in Mississippi, United States is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Technical Manager. This job is permanent, full-time.
Roles, Goals and Responsibilities
Safety Leader – 0.0 Incident. Uphold the company’s number one value. Responsible to coach the development of the 360, 7 Reflex process so that it becomes second nature. Environmental Leader – 0.00 Level I & II, < 5 Level III. Uphold the company environmental policy and ensure environmental compliance with all planned work involving the mill environmental systems. Responsible to ensure the Grenada team upholds the community environmental relationship. Customer Service/Roll Quality Manager – > Investigate paper complaints and claims and provide feedback to the tech reps in the field. Troubleshoot process related technical issues and provide solutions. Roll quality and structure lead. SPN to Mill councilor Mill Technical Service Manager – > Monitor processes to help improve quality and maintain at and acceptable level. Champion the monthly business review with the corporate tech services and sales team. Troubleshoot process related technical issues and provide solutions. Optimizer Director – > Provide value for the mill through recommendations for process related optimizations. KPI Facilitator – > Champion process related KPIs for each department. Set upper and lower limits. The Resolute Way Rep – > Integrate and insure compliance to the Resolute Way process. PI / Aspin Migration Power User – > Champion the migration from ProcessBook to a newly supported data historian. Capital Project Leader – > Champion capital project Ideas – Justification and Process design Business Manager – > STIP > 100%. Maintain Grenada’s low cost position. Exceed operating budgets. Innovation Leader – > Lead ideas to help sustain the Grenada mill for years to come.Knowledge and Experience
B.S. degree or higher in Chemical, Mechanical, Pulp & Paper Engineering, or a technical degree with 5-10 years of relative paper industry experience. Must have in depth knowledge of customers’ printing processes and requirements. Must be able to manage the Technical Department effectively, assign workloads, assess needs, coach, and counsel. Strong analytical abilities and good interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to work with customers and other departments in the mill. Must be able to assist in troubleshooting, development, and continuation of customer relations. Must have working knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Must have a track record of continuous improvement (Operational Excellence experience a plus)
