We have an exciting new job opportunity in our packaging department Vaccines at the Haarlem site and, we are looking to hire a Technical Manager

The packaging department where you will work is responsible for the total supply chain with regard to the packaging of medicines. From the development and ordering of components and bulk to the delivery of the medicines in the shipping package.
The position
You will ensure reliability of equipment and technical processes. You will set the standards within the department and ensure the required level of technical expertise is retained, and initiate and contribute to the implementation of technical improvements. Furthermore, you will ensure people management of technical resources of the department, manage the technicians and reliability engineers and work in close co-operation with peers within overall production and quality procedures & guidelines. Your continuous focus will be on quality and safety compliance, customer focus and Continuous Improvement on technical performance of the packaging lines. You will report to the Associate Director Technical Support.
Your responsibilities, but are not limited to:
Manage the Technicians and Reliability Engineers;
Manage the maintenance shutdown plans, in close the cooperation with the Shopfloor scheduler and TechOps / Engineering;
Monitor daily processes, highlight potential incidents and risks, and guide the team through investigations of technical disruptions and problem-solving;
Identify, analyse, prioritize and execute technical business-related needs and issues;
Contribute to the recruitment and retaining of employees, the development and execution of training programs and the execution of all performance management activities;
Manage the capital plan. Initiate and develop capital plan and ensure approval;
Manage the maintenance budget process within the own department.
Your profile
HBO/Bachelors in, preferably Engineering;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical role;
Experience in a people manager role;
Experience in the food, pharma, chemical or mechanical engineering industry
Solid knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering;
Previous experience within reliability;
SAP experience;
Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
