TECHNICAL MARKETING SPECIALIST – NLA

  

Job Overview:

Responsible for proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in alignment with the defined strategy, working closely with the commercial team. This includes effectively presenting the value proposition of the product and closely monitoring the opportunity's progress from sample submission to full commercial approval. Utilizes CRM as a management tool for tracking and updating new opportunities, including call reports, evaluating market size, and assessing the probability of success in collaboration with the account manager. Focus on Paints additives, like waxes, pigment dispersants, rheology modifiers and also in water base emulsions polymers and binders. 

 

Accountabilities:

Manages and nurtures relationships with technical personnel within customer organizations, ranging from laboratory technicians to the technical board (C-Suite). Demonstrates the ability to understand and address the specific needs of each level, delivering tailored value propositions accordingly. Protect existing businesses (sales) within accounts from the technical perspective, understanding clearly the value propositions that is being consumed by the customer and ensure that it is sustained over time, proposing replacements when necessary to increase barriers of enters from competitors. Raises the level of account and market understanding by conducting customer visits, engaging with industry associations, conducting interviews with end customers, and providing valuable feedback to the marketing team to drive the development of new products and pricing strategies. Takes responsibility for training customers and distributors, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and expertise to effectively utilize the products. Acts as a bridge between the market and the laboratory, developing project scopes that generate valuable and reliable data to accelerate the approval process for opportunities. Serves as the technical authority for the assigned product platform and/or market, providing expert guidance and support.

 

Education / Skills

Chemical Engineering or Chemistry Technical experience in Inks, Paints and Coatings. Previous experience in the field: 7-10 years in the coatings industry. Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint) (required) SAP knowledge (desired) Advance level English language skills (required) Portuguese (desired) Results-focused Negotiation skills Good teamworking skills Communication skills
