About KPTV:

KPTV is a Fox-affiliated television station licensed to Portland, Oregon. Owned by Atlanta-based Gray Television, it is part of a duopoly with Vancouver, Washington-licensed MyNetworkTV affiliate KPDX.

Job Summary/Description:  

The Technical Producer has knowledge in Grass Valley Ignite Automation used for News, Lifestyle and Sports Shows both live and live to tape. Candidates also have knowledge with Chyron systems, ENPS for coding, Prompting skills, and understanding of studios. The Technical Producer is a positive team player with a passion for broadcast media.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:   

- Executing newscasts using Grass Valley Ignite Automation System
- Coding rundowns in ENPS
- Communicating well with team members in Production, as well as various departments in daily interactions 

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Completion of high school. Bachelor's degree in broadcast television or media preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in a live broadcast television environment with hands-on control room experience
- Experience operating and maintaining Ignite Automation tools and software
