Technical Nature Manager
Salary National £45,000-£60,000 & London £50,000- £75,000
This role would suit someone with strong technical skills and understanding of nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities for financial institutions, nature-related data, metrics and target setting and associated nature-related market, policy and regulatory developments, nature-based investments assessments and experience in delivering on nature-related analytical projects.
It requires the ability to work in very agile and demanding project teams with shared objectives, to improve customer outcomes and help Aviva grow its business in a responsible and sustainable way.
A bit about the job:
You will be responsible for providing expertise and guidance to support the development and implementation of Aviva’s Group ambition and strategy on nature, including Group’s nature-related strategy, KPI target setting, metrics development, policy development, implementation and embedding. You will support technical projects associated with nature-related risk and impact management, such as a nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities assessment across investment, underwriting and operations (i.e. delivering and reporting on a Group DIRO/TNFD LEAP assessment) and translation of results to inform a Group-wide nature strategy.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Strong experience built in nature-focused technical delivery, ideally with a focus in financial services
Understanding of nature-related issues for financial institutions, in particular insurers as well as financial modelling and analysis experience
Understanding and experience using nature-related data, metrics and tools (e.g. TNFD, EU CSRD, GRI, SBTN), and wider nature-related datasets and providers
Technical nature or climate related professional qualifications
Ability to support a number of nature-related activities and workstreams at the same time, alongside building and maintaining effective relationships across the business to ensure buy-in and delivery

Starting salary between £45,000 and £75,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
