Technical Oversight Advisor/DCOP

Overview:

The DCOP will be responsible for providing overall technical oversight of the Activity under its five components, which includes ensuring that all the products and services delivered to USAID are of high technical quality, and timely.

Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for the technical oversight of the design of all the deliverables and services under the contract, as well as their implementation and delivery. Conduct a careful technical overview of the data, statistics, methodologies, analysis, and writing of the SOWs, designs, evaluations and assessments reports, documents, and presentations submitted to USAID under the contract to ensure that all work provided under the contract, whether by international or local personnel, is technically sound, robust, and appropriate for the requirements of the contract. High standards of analytical, statistical, leadership, and emotional intelligence / skills are needed for this position Education and/or Experience: Master's Degree in Social Sciences or related field. A PhD Degree is preferable. 8+ years of experience in research, evaluation, statistics and/or monitoring projects related to development 3 years of experience as an author or coauthor of assessments, evaluations or studies on development, social sciences and/or public policy 3 years of experience in supervising research teams and /or subcontractors, and managing evaluation, statistics and/or monitoring projects related to the development 1 year of experience in Latin American social and cultural development context Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish is required and proficient Spanish speaking and writing
