We are looking for a Technical Pension Specialist to be responsible and accountable for defining the technical requirements, principles and models that guide solution decisions for the pensions operation.

You will analyse and translate business management information, key issues and process improvement to outline solutions that integrate across pensions operations.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Leading change through improving mission critical processes that align with the business visionEngaging and managing a range of stakeholders (including senior management)Monitoring performance targets from end to end and communicating these through dashboards and reportsEnsuring the ownership of the creation of process guides, colleague training and benefit measurementCommunicating process changes through a variety of channels including workshops, presentations and email comms or participating in the planning of these activities.Acting as a business lead with Design Authority Group and other relevant business approval forumRegularly review the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems, processes and controls and make suggestions to continually enhance service delivery.

What will you be doing:

Lead on projects linking in with all key stakeholders within the department or business areas.Provide input into development/training action planning and process improvement, where required.Control and enhance the quality of customer outputs to deliver an excellent customer experience through coaching, training action planning and process improvement where required.Adapt to varying demands and workloads with a commitment to ensure tasks are completed to deadline whilst maintaining excellent levels of quality.Understand the importance of and deliver against individual objectives and to contribute to the achievement of departmental objectives and business results.Understand the importance of continuous improvement and be able to collate and interpret data to seek opportunities both inside and outside the team to improve the customer experience, challenging current processes.  

What are we looking for:

Essential

Technical pensions experience in DBStrong Excel – Formulas/Vlookups/able to manipulate and process bulk dataStrong verbal and written communication skillsInternal and some external client relationship skillsProject management in a pensions environment

Desirable

In additional to technical DB pensions experience some DC would be beneficialExperience of public sector pension schemes
