Technical Process Improvement Leader
Job Description SummaryEdison Works is reinventing how work is done with fit for purpose tools and processes that will enable better cross-functional collaboration to accelerate product development. The purpose of this role is to lead improvements in engineering processes within Edison Works and partner organizations with a particular focus on cross-functional processes. This role will be accountable for creating significant improvements in engineering quality, cycle time, and productivity.

Roles and Responsibilities

The engineering process leader will work with all engineering functions, lean experts, engineering tools teams, and digital teams to implement systemic improvements across multiple NPI programs.  These improvements will be accomplished by:

Building authoritative data sources to transparently share data across the teamConnecting and flowing data across engineering functions and processes with significant reductions in manual manipulation of dataSequencing hand-offs to minimize down time and reprocessingLeveraging FLIGHT DECK principals to manage engineering processesBuilding standard work for processes and handoffsDefining requirements for new digital capabilities that will improve engineering processesLeveraging AI and Machine Learning to accelerate the design process

Required QualificationsEngineering degree with at least 8 years of experience in design, systems engineering, and/or analysis functionsAble to obtain a US security clearanceUS Citizen

Desired CharacteristicsDemonstrated ability to lead cross functional teamsCAP or Organizational Change Management experienceDemonstrated ability to define and implement process improvementsProficient in application of FLIGHT DECK to transactional processesStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to influence and align stakeholders
