Technical Product Management

Technical Product Management (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, MA): Will be an integral player, bringing technical expertise and direction to implementation engagement teams, helping to ensure that our clients are implementing Charles River’s Investment Management Solution (IMS) suite properly. Specific duties of the position include: Operate with autonomy and leadership to serve as subject matter expert within CRIMS implementation and upgrade projects. With limited oversight, will run implementation projects. Will engage directly with demanding fund managers and be able to organize, solution and drive the project to a satisfactory end state with little assistance from management. For fixed income engagements, will apply their core understanding of fixed income workflows, asset classes, and analytics. Provide assistance to other members of the Professional Services team and proactively develop and share best practices. Analyze and evaluate client’s investment and trading related requirements to ensure solution meets the client’s business needs. Educate clients on the functionality provided by CRIMS. Monitor and evaluate client requirements to identify potential enhancements to Charles River solutions and services. Contribute to software quality by clearly communicating defects to Technical Support and Product Management. Takes initiative to keep other team members informed by contributing to “Best Practices” library. Execute task-driven software configurations, test configurations, verify configurations with project stream lead and document configurations. Up to 40% domestic travel and very occasional international travel. Full time telecommuting permitted pursuant to Company policy.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, in Business, Mathematical Finance, or related quantitative field; plus 5 years of experience as a Product Specialist, Technical Product Manager or any other related occupation providing experience in methodology-based solution delivery. Alternatively, the Employer will accept a Master’s degree, or its equivalent, in Business, Mathematical Finance, or related quantitative field; plus 3 years of experience as a Product Specialist, Technical Product Manager or any other related occupation providing experience in methodology-based solution delivery.

Must have: Proven experience supporting or implementing investment management solutions within a bank, hedge fund, asset manager or wealth management firm. Basic knowledge of fixed income or equity financial instruments. Basic understanding of investment management or wealth management work flows. Basic command of SQL and understanding of relational databases. Demonstrated successful experience in a role requiring appreciation of client service and ability to understand client needs and build effective relationships. Proven ability to work within a team environment and be focused on providing high-quality service to clients. Proven ability to be a team player who shares knowledge and experience openly but who can also leverage the expertise of more experienced colleagues. Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to convey plans, issues and risks to clients and team members in a clear and concise manner. Solid problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically and decompose complex issues into components and perform root cause analysis. Solid time management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel. Salary Range:

$104 400 - $180 000 Annual
