Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

 

We are seeking a talented and experienced Commercial HVAC Technical Product Manager (TPM) to join our collaborative team. In this role, you will partner with Product Management to provide technical product expertise, product commercialization and ongoing support as well as be an expert in industry trends and regulations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure our product offerings meet market demands and drive customer satisfaction. As an HVAC technical subject matter expert, you will recommend product specifications of new development initiatives, analyze market trends and regulations, and champion product enhancements to maintain a competitive edge in the industry. In this role your responsibilities will include:

 

Partnership with Product Management:

Partner with product managers to define product requirements, features, and functionality based on market needs and collaborate with engineering teams for product development.Gather and analyze customer feedback, market trends, and sales data to recommend data-driven decisions for product enhancements and improvements.Work closely with product management and engineering teams to prioritize development of new features and products.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling product documentation, including specifications, technical literature, and training materials.

 

Commercialization Strategy and Support:

Leverage product expertise to translate technical product information into key messaging detailing competitive differentiation.Collaborate with marketing teams to develop technical content that differentiates products across the Lennox product portfolio.Create and deliver content such as how to videos, customer-facing 1-pagers and product sheets.Provide education and training to technical support to ensure support teams are enabled to answer inquiries.Support sales teams by providing technical expertise, training, and product knowledge to drive successful product adoption and revenue growth.Conduct technical product demonstrations, presentations, and customer training sessions to showcase product capabilities and benefits.

 

Industry and Regulations Expertise:

Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in the commercial HVAC industry.Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build relationships, identify trends, technologies, and regulation opportunities to make recommendations on product development.Partner with marketing to develop market collateral explaining upcoming regulations, products, and industry trends. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field.A master’s degree is a plus.At least 8 years in HVAC engineering, design, application, or related experience, preferably in the commercial HVAC or building controls industry.Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, controls, protocols, and industry standards related to technical understanding of products.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical terms to product features and customer value proposition.Proactive, self-motivated, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
