Technical Product Manager - AI Platforms - GenAI Developer Platform - CTO Office

We envision, design, and prototype the next generation infrastructure, hardware, and applications for the Bloomberg Terminal. For more than a decade, Bloomberg has been a trailblazer in its application of AI, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing (NLP) in finance. We build models and systems that power sentiment analysis, classification, question answering, document understanding, recommendation, and more, using state of the art AI techniques including generative AI. Critical to this effort are our AI platforms, which enable teams to rapidly and robustly develop, deploy and maintain AI products and features.  

What’s in it for you

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to shape and execute the vision and roadmap for our generative AI application lifecycle. As a product manager, you will focus on the end-to-end user experience, share ownership of the product roadmap for our AI Platforms, and build out new features, capabilities, and integrations to fulfill our mission. You’ll be making decisions on how to streamline the AI developer workflow. You will work in a group of other highly motivated product managers that work on a range of adjacent projects around AI application development. You will interact very closely with internal stakeholders from product, engineering, and UX. This is a high-leverage role in a very cross-functional environment, so you’ll need to be comfortable wearing many hats and balancing technical expertise with business acumen.

Develop a long-term technical strategy, roadmap, framework, design patterns, tools for improving the developer experience for AI applicationsPartner closely with AI product teams to accelerate their critical projects, with a preliminary focus on generative AI applicationsInteract with end users and diverse group of partners to understand their workflows and technical requirements, and develop a deep understanding of an ideal user experienceFoster a culture of collaboration with your Engineering and UX counterpartsPrioritize, plan, make decisions, ask the right questions, and understand how to manage resources effectivelyTake the initiative, be proactive, be inclusive, innovate, advocate, understand the priorities for the business, and do what’s best for Bloomberg You’ll need to have5+ years of experience in technical product managementExperience working with developer teams and productionizing AI and other data-intensive applicationsBreadth of knowledge or familiarity with GenAI platforms, MLOps platforms, AI toolkitsDeep understanding of software development best practicesOrganizational and communication skills to effectively coordinate and work with engineers, UX, subject matter experts, other product managers, and senior managementA product-driven focus and track record of shaping business strategy and roadmaps for technical productsWe’d love to seeA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, HCI, AI, similar field of study or equivalent work experienceApplied experience with AI, Machine Learning, familiarity with large language models and their operational requirementsExperience with Distributed Systems, Kubernetes, container orchestration, cloud computing platforms, experience with public cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or AzureOpen source involvement or community presence  Salary Range = 140000 - 295000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
