Technical Program Management Internship - Summer 2025

The Security and Privacy Technical Program Management team is a force multiplier for the security organization; we partner closely with engineering and product teams across Netflix to deliver impactful and scalable security initiatives. These initiatives are highly visible and cross-functional, requiring technical thought leadership throughout Netflix’s engineering and product organizations. We collaborate with leaders inside and outside the organization to align on strategic goals and vision to further the security roadmaps for our partnering teams in a business driven way.  We engage with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, product managers, engineering managers, and developers, to establish and drive initiatives that make a significant impact. We are looking for a Security Technical Program Manager intern who will be focused on large cross-functional programs that impact almost all of engineering at Netflix. 

We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications:

Current student pursuing an Undergrad or Graduate (preferred) degree in a technical or non-technical field with an expected graduation date around December 2025 or Spring/Summer 2026

Proficient in program management, ensuring milestones are achieved, key results are delivered, and status updates are effectively communicated to the manager.

Broad experiences with multiple technical skills across different technologies, with experience writing code and contributing to open source projects

Knowledge of foundational concepts in identity and access management, cloud infrastructure security, third party risk or security in general. 

Basic intermediate proficiency with Python, Java, or Node (at least 2 preferred)

Outstanding people skills, partnerships, cross-functional relationships

Nice to have:

You are interested in partnering with multiple cross-functional teams to define technical strategy and requirements

You enjoy orchestrating programs with many moving parts - people, needs, and technologies

You have a strong desire to learn how to identify gaps in solutions, debate technical approaches and weigh-in on product vs. technology tradeoffs

You aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty, pulling data to provide insight, debug issues, and monitor system health

You have a data driven mindset in your decision making

You have a functional understanding and point of view within your technical domain(s) of expertise

You will learn broadly about how the Security at Netflix strengthens and helps optimize all aspects of our global entertainment business. 

You will collaborate with stunning colleagues in the Security Engineering organization and beyond.

The Summer Internship

At Netflix, we offer a personalized experience for interns, and our aim is to offer an experience that mimics what it is like to actually work here. Internships are paid and are a minimum of 12 weeks, with a choice of a few fixed start dates in May or June 2025 to accommodate varying school calendars. Conditions permitting, our 2025 summer internships will be located in our Los Gatos, CA office, or in our Los Angeles, CA office, depending on the team.

We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.

The overall market range for Netflix Internships is typically $40/hour - $110/hour.
