About the team

The Commerce Systems team powers the Revenue platform at Stripe. Engineers on the Commerce Systems team build platforms and tools that make it easier for Stripe’s product and sales teams to quickly bring products to market, sign simple and complex deals while giving Stripe’s users accurate bills that reflect their contracts with Stripe. Our partners are the Product, Sales and Finance teams at Stripe whose goals are to increase Stripe’s revenue and forecasting capabilities.

What you’ll do

We’re looking for people with a strong background or interest in building successful products or systems; you’re passionate about data, increasing revenue with accurate and flexible billing and  you are comfortable with dealing with lots of moving pieces; and you’re comfortable learning new technologies and systems.

Responsibilities Operationalize and execute on key cross functional programs spanning all engineering organizations including managing Operation Reviews, driving efficiencies in capacity governance and launch reviews Partner with Engineering Managers and Technical Program Managers to define, scope and improve the operational needs within the teams Define and standardize documentation and communication processes Develop, implement, and iterate on program management procedures, frameworks, and metrics to achieve goals with defined success criteria Develop, define and report on program health and success metrics Leverage data to drive strategic decisions and reporting at the leadership level Create canonical documentation of plans and processes, driving consistency and alignment across teams Who you are

Minimum requirements 5+ years of software engineering, systems engineering or technical product/program management experience You are not satisfied with just delivering a program on time—you are discerning about product/infrastructure architecture and obsessed with quality, reliability & correctness You have a track record of providing program management during all phases of software development from kick-off to ship, demonstrating critical thinking and thought leadership You have strong written and verbal communication skills, building strong relationships with stakeholders and teams around the organization You can drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions Experience operating autonomously and leading large-scale efforts across multiple teams and functions, with stakeholders in different disciplines across time zones Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale platforms, infrastructure and organizations Experience leading initiatives with a global footprint having built APIs, products, and complex systems/infrastructure at scale
