Join Apple, and help us leave the world better than we found it. DescriptionDescriptionWe are looking for talented engineers across teams at Apple in Operations to support iPhone Final Assembly. Technical Program Managers have some of the following responsibilities, including: - Design for Manufacturability: Provides early and ongoing manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are mechanically manufacturable. - Product Engineering: Works all phases of a product from concept to repeat manufacturing to end of life. Provides production support engineering with respect to technically complex testing methods, procedures, and failure analysis. - Process Engineering: Designs and develops technically complex processes to improve quality and efficiency. - Failure/Data Analysis: Plans, develops, and implements technically complex procedures for the testing and evaluation of soon-to-be-released products. - Fixture design and development: Creates Request for Quotation/Proposal (RFQ/RFPs) that documents the design requirements of simple to complex mechanical jigs and fixtures for assembly. - Leads design reviews of fixture requirements, design, qualification, and capability. - Manages the delivery schedule, required documentation, and qualification for acceptance at machine supplier facility and contract manufacturer - Works with Global Supply Managers to define and establish supply chain requirements utilizing selected equipment and manufacturing suppliers. - Travels to equipment supplier and contract manufacturer sites for equipment bring-up, qualification, acceptance testing, and build support - Drives failure analysis and issue resolution. Minimum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications5+ years of full time mechanical manufacturing experience requiredBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)25% domestic and international travel requiredKey QualificationsKey QualificationsPreferred QualificationsPreferred QualificationsExcellent project management skills (Planning, Cost, & Delivery), experience working in a matrix organization.Direct experience leading any of the following functional engineering teams: Mechanical, Electrical, DFX, etc.Experience working with international OEM partners.New product introduction and Manufacturing Operations experience.Have basic expertise in CNC Machining (including Milling and Turning), Injection and Overmolding, Surface Finishing, and Equipment Assembly.Experience with fixture design with some familiarity of PLC programming.Education & ExperienceEducation & ExperienceAdditional RequirementsAdditional RequirementsPay & BenefitsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $151,200 and $227,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
