Technical Program Manager, WiFi Deployment

JOB SCOPE

The Technical Program Manager and Spectrum Mobile Network WiFi deployment lead drives large-scale WiFi Radio Access Network (RAN) deployment, working on large numbers of deployments, site agreements, and special projects for wireless operations within Technology Operations.

Ensures deployments are properly scoped, playbooks have been developed, and timelines are adhered to for Spectrum Mobile Network WiFi deployment. Projects include MDU, venue, outdoor macro, and small cell deployments.

Responsible for managing all aspects of highly complex, enterprise-wide, multi discipline technical program(s) consisting of multiple projects. Ensures successful integration of several projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on the needs of the business. This job requires extensive technical and project management experience. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES

Accountable for Spectrum Mobile WiFi macro, venue, and special projects site development focused on better, faster, cheaper.Adheres to and enhances network deployment processes for WiFiaerial strand AP development, deployment, and integration.Coordinates with Field Ops on deployment schedule and goals and own overall accountability for WiFiRAN deployment reporting.Direct FOP liaison between Engineering, Product, and Technology Operations for all deployment-related issues for Spectrum Mobile WiFi.Applies a strong understanding of RAN deployment processes to lead the execution of all deployment initiatives for WiFi, holding teams accountable to deliver to deployment timeline commitments.Uses specific knowledge about one or more technical areas to develop program strategy, supporting business case and various high-level project plans.Ensures integration of multi discipline technical projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets, based on the needs of the business. Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practices to improve technical processes and to alleviate process inaccuracy and duplication. Serve as a mentor to project managers and project leaders to educate and assist them with implementing project management processes and making improvement/changes.Accountable for the creation and execution of project management processes and methodologies to ensure delivery of project scope on time and within budget while meeting or exceeding quality standards and customer expectations. Accountable for plans and teamwork assignments, directing work efforts, reviewing integrated project plans, escalating and communicating resource needs, ensuring completion of quality reviews, and driving the resolution of issues as appropriate.Communicates with leadership and other stakeholders on program strategy, direction and changes.Responsible for delivering all projects contained in the project portfolio on time, within budget and meeting the strategic and business requirements.Responsible for tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to Project Managers.Partners with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities to achieve the goals of the enterprise.Responsible for managing all aspects of the design, development and implementation of the technical program.Performs other duties as assigned.

BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field, or equivalent experienceMinimum eight (8) years of Technical Project Management experienceMinimum eight (8) years of IT or Engineering work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Extensive experience in large-scale Radio Access Network deployment at a national level.National deployment program management and construction project management.Ability to lead matrix teams: must be comfortable in a highly visible role; a great consensus builder and the clear champion of their area of responsibility.
Ability to influence other organizations and rally key stakeholders within the company to achieve key objectives.
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel as well as in public forums.
Great organizational and office management skills.Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum

The base pay for this position generally is between $110,800.00 and $196,400.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
