Technical Program Manager – New Product Introduction, Project Kuiper
Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). The TPM is responsible for leading a cross-functional team in engineering and manufacturing to plan, drive, and deliver new product introduction for satellite hardware. This role includes responsibility for new product introduction, engineering deliverables for continuous technical improvement projects, optimizations, and delivery of hardware on-time. You will have significant influence over the manufacturing and test approach, systems, and output as Project Kuiper manufactures satellites.


Key job responsibilities
* Define, plan, drive, and deliver new production introduction for satellite hardware working with engineering and production to meet production goals.
* Collaborate with engineering, systems TPM, operations program management, and manufacturing leaders to deliver engineering for hardware and test software continuous improvement projects.
* Partner with engineering, manufacturing, operations program management, manufacturing partners, and the systems TPM to ensure engineering for design for manufacturability and design for testability goals are achieved.
* Define, plan, drive, and deliver engineering deliverables for continuous improvement projects to improve flow, yield, increase capacity, increase test coverage, and manufacturing quality.
* Spearhead and influence cross-functional coordination and communication between the Engineering, Technical Program Management, Supply Chain, Operations Program Management, Demand/Supply Planning and manufacturing teams to drive engineering deliverables towards production readiness through major product life cycle checkpoints.
* Manage technical/engineering risks working closely with engineering, systems TPM, supply chain, manufacturing engineers, and manufacturing partner(s).
* Drive engineering deliverables for manufacturing and test project execution.
* Represent engineering deliverables to feed daily/weekly build status reviews, yield rates, and manufacturing issues.

You must be competent in a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project life-cycle (e.g. critical path management, schedule development, risk identification and mitigation, manufacturing key performance indices, etc.) and exhibit demonstrated proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking.
