Technical Program Manager

We work with groups across engineering and sales on driving growth initiatives and monetization improvements to our platform to help better enable our publishers and advertisers. The team is responsible for developing advanced techniques to turn data into insights; and to drive actions based on those insights end to end. The work environment empowers you to have a real impact on Microsoft’s business, our advertiser & publisher partners, and millions of end users. We are currently seeking an analytically oriented Technical Program Manager who will join the business planning and forecasting team, focusing on forecasting our Display, Native and Video (DNV) business. This individual will partner closely with teams in product, strategy, business planning, , data science, sales, finance, and marketing to synthesize inputs and incorporate them along with marketplace signals into short/long term revenue models. This individual will be responsible for revenue forecasting, understanding and socializing drivers of performance, projecting current performance against targets, and influencing monetization and platform optimization decisions.  In this role you will dive into heavy amounts of data and gain an understanding of the levers that drive performance. You will have a keen intellect for generating data driven answers to complex business challenges in a rapid pace environment. Equally important is your ability to communicate across a varied range of partners. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond **Responsibilities** Job Responsibilities include: + Owning revenue models that contemplate the current state of the business, industry/economic trends, seasonality, and future product/strategic initiatives across multiple tech platform solutions. + Influencing financial business targets in the Display, Native and Video space and developing finer grain operational targets to steer daily marketplace monitoring and management. + Development of Rhythm of Business (ROB) reporting to capture business drivers and variance of outcomes vs forecast targets. + Be a Strategic Advisor in the DNV space: Provide thought leadership, advice, influence and insight to partners across other teams. + Develop and lead executive level presentations to drive alignment on performance drivers and financial targets + Lead project work streams with limited oversight + Embody our Culture (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/about/corporate-values) and Values (https://careers.microsoft.com/us/en/culture) **Qualifications** Required/Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in revenue forecasting, product/technical program management, data analysis, data science + OR equivalent experience. + 2+ years of experience working in the display advertising industry with deep domain knowledge of ad networks, programmatic buying, ad formats and audience targeting. + 2+ years experience and proficiency in working with large data sets using (but not limited to) MS Excel, SQL Server / relational databases + 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. Additional or Preferred Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in revenue forecasting, product/technical program management, data analysis, data science + OR equivalent experience. + 4+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. + 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos). + 5+ years of experience working in the display advertising industry in an analytical capacity with deep domain knowledge of ad networks, programmatic buying, ad formats and audience targeting. + Experience with large scale revenue forecasting and financial target setting ($500M+) + Proficiency with data bricks, R/Python, Fabric, PowerBI + Technical familiarity with ad exchanges and real-time bidding + Excellent story-teller with the ability to explain complex data and analysis with simplicity and clarity. + Hands-on approach to data modeling with a focus on accuracy and quality.  Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
