Technical Program ManagerAnalytics Solutions As EF Tours accelerates on its digital transformation journey, we are looking for a talented Technical Program Manager to drive the development and execution of technical roadmap within Data and Analytics and help deliver faster, higher, and more consistent business impact. You will join a cross-function team of Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering and Data Science professionals providing data warehousing, analytics and modelling solutions which support our stakeholders in optimizing and automating operations processes based on data-driven insights, recommendations, and machine learning pipelines. Our data products have a direct impact on students and professors travelling with EF, as well as on the profitability of our business. We operate from the EF global headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise and your program management skills to ensure that solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and to the desired quality standards. You will engage with stakeholders to turn high-level project objectives into a comprehensive set of technical requirements, and keep them informed about progresses, risks, and issues. You will apply agile methodologies to drive the execution of the roadmap and foster iterative and efficient project development and delivery. Responsibilities:Strategic vision and roadmapDevelops and maintains the roadmap for delivering projects and initiatives, in collaboration with the Product manager and Director. Stakeholder collaboration and Requirements gatheringCollaborates across teams (analytics, data science, business units) to translate business requirements into technical specifications, to align project goals, timelines, resources and to manage dependencies. Engages stakeholders regularly through demos and status updates. Prioritization and Backlog managementPrioritizes tasks and projects based on business value, resources availability and deadlines, ensuring that critical projects move forward effectively. Works with Product Managers and technical leads to ensure that the backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and actionable.Agile project developmentOversees project execution, managing timelines, risks and progress to ensure project milestones and goals are met. Facilitates Agile events such as sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospective driving iterative development. Contribute to writing one-pagers and translate into Jira Epics developers can consume. Project tracking and Risk mitigationUses Agile tools (e.g. Jira) to monitor team progress, identify bottlenecks and report progress to stakeholders. Adapts plans based on changing priorities or challenges uncovered during sprints.Continuous improvementConducts retrospectives to identify improvement opportunities and implements process changes to enhance team performance  Requirements:Experience in Technical Program Management: 3+ years managing cross-functional technical programs, preferably in data engineering, analytics, or data science domains, with a track record of delivering scalable solutions.Good Understanding of Data & Analytics Systems: Familiarity with data pipelines, cloud platforms (Snowflake), reporting tools like PowerBI or Tableau, and machine learning tech stack (Python, Spark, Databricks, Snowpark). Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams on technical requirements for projects.Proficiency in Agile Methodologies: Expertise in leading Agile events, managing sprint cycles, and using tools like Jira, Confluence, or Trello to drive iterative progress and program alignment.Exceptional Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate between engineering, analytics, data science, and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.Risk Management and Delivery Excellence: Proven ability to identify and mitigate program risks, manage interdependencies, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of technical initiatives that align with business objectives.EF Educational Tours’ operational division is headquartered in the heart of Zurich, in the newly renovated office by the river Sihl.
