Technical Program Manager
The Integrated Planning and Execution (IPE) organization is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join the Network Supply Planning team in support of the AMERS regions. This role is responsible for aligning and maintaining long term network infrastructure plans to support our rapidly scaling global cloud and AI infrastructure. The person in this role will create, maintain, and track regional network supply plans that include all network components for their regions. The right candidate will work with Senior TPM’s to drive clarity and decisions across the team on infrastructure sourcing signals by integrating with the various demand and supply planning organizations, as well as with the engineering and business groups. In addition, the role will assist in process and systems optimization for the infrastructure planning process. This role and the team are part of a critical function that will be the single point of contact for network infrastructure sourcing teams and serve as the key interface between IPE and external partner teams. Coordinating and driving infrastructure decisions to align on network supply plans. Coordinating with finance on financial analysis and decision alignment Driving process and systems optimization for the infrastructure planning and execution process + Create the Network Infrastructure Plans to support scaling of Microsoft Cloud Regions + Assist and drive key decisions required for alignment on infrastructure plans + Assist and drive development of tools and systems requirements for infrastructure master planning/tracking + Assist and drive close collaboration with CO+I and Azure engineering teams on delivering systems and tools + Serve as the interface between network business teams, network acquisition and deployment teams **Qualifications** Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree AND 2+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management - + OR equivalent experience + Experience in datacenter or telecommunication infrastructure + Experience with design, deployment OR supply planning of network infrastructure + 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. Other Requirements: + Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter Preferred Qualifications: + 2+ years of experience in physical network infrastructure including DWDM and Network Co-Location + 2+ years of experience in datacenter and telecommunication infrastructure + 2+ years of experience in design, deployment OR supply planning of optical networks + Excellent communication and documentation skills to drive projects and build buy-in and support + Experience in conducting long-range network supply planning, including technical, business, and financial considerations + Data mining using Azure Data Explorer (Kusto Query Language) OR equivalent tools Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
